Marinopoulou Anna

Anna Marinopoulou graduated from the Department of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a specialization in Food Science and Technology. She received a Master’s degree (MSc) in Food Science and Technology from the Department of Agriculture of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry of the University of Ioannina. Her doctoral thesis includes the study of the effect of amylose-fatty acid complex formation on the structural and physicochemical characteristics of starch systems. She has worked as a postdoctoral researcher on various research projects. She received a Postdoc-Research Scholarships [24-month scholarship] from the State Scholarship Foundation (IKY). Her research interests focus on the technology and quality control of fruits and vegetables, physicochemical properties of starch, quality control of plant-based foods, production of functional foods and the development of biodegradable packaging materials from natural polymers.
